Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur Terms and Conditions
The ‘#ToNewMemories Wedding Giveaway’ begins 21 March 2022 and ends 21 May 2022. This contest is open to all legal residents of Malaysia, excluding employees of any Hilton portfolio hotels.
How to Participate:
2. Like Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur’s Facebook page and/or Follow the hotel’s Instagram page.
3. Describe your dream wedding in no more than 100 words in the Comment section of the hotel’s Facebook or Instagram wedding giveaway post and Tag your significant other in your entry.
Sponsor reserves the right to verify all facts, including eligibility of Entrants (and their fiancé/fiancée). Failure to be able to validate the authenticity of your entry when requested may result in disqualification.
How Winners Will Be Selected
1. TWO social media participants with the most creative & emotionally appealing submissions will be selected—one from Facebook and one from Instagram.
2. Only submissions within the contest period (21 March 2022, posting time to 21 May 2022) will be selected.
Social Media Prize:
Win a dreamy 3-course dinner with a panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur for two, worth RM219 per couple.
Win a 3D2N stay (inclusive of breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner worth up to RM300) at Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur when you successfully book a wedding with us. Prize voucher can be redeemed within 1 year from your wedding date.
The social media giveaway winners will be announced on Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur’s Facebook and Instagram pages on 27 May 2022. Winners will also be given a period of 3 months to redeem their prize. Booking must be made at least 3 working days in advance.
The couple who successfully booked a wedding with Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur and have won the BONUS PRIZE will be contacted directly by the Wedding’s team.
Terms and Conditions
1. The contest is organized by Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur and is open to all participants who-
(a) are residents of Malaysia;
(b) are of legal marriage age;
2. The following group of persons shall not be eligible to participate in this contest-
(a) permanent or contract employees of any Hilton portfolio hotel (including its associated or related companies);
3. By participating in this contest, you agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions contained herein. Failure to comply with any applicable terms, conditions, rules, regulations, instructions or methods shall result in you being disqualified from the contest.
4. For the ‘New Memories Wedding Giveaway’, you are eligible to participate multiple times but there will only be one prize to be won per account. No purchase is required.
5. For the ‘New Memories Wedding Giveaway’, the sponsor will be selecting winners based on the most original, creative and emotionally appealing entries. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur reserves the right in its absolute discretion, to select the next eligible winner in the event that any original intended winner is forfeited for whatever reason.
6. Participants acknowledge and undertake that every entry is original, genuine, creative and created by them and was not created or belonging to any other person or party.
7. The participant hereby agrees that his or her entry in this contest shall not contain anything which is an infringement of intellectual property rights of another party, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks or service marks, or which is or is not calculated to bring Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur and/or its related and affiliated corporations into disrepute or breach of contract or duty of confidence or which is defamatory or in contempt of court or calculated to bring or brings Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur and/or its related and affiliated corporations into disrepute.
8. The winners of the prizes will be listed on the hotel’s Facebook and Instagram pages on 27 May 2022. All participants should keep their mobile phones switched on and their accounts active during this period. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur shall not be responsible or liable if the winner cannot be contacted latest by 10 May 2022 for any reason whatsoever following efforts by the hotel to contact the winner via Facebook Comments & PM or Instagram Comments & DM. If winners failed to provide accurate contact details, the sponsor reserves the right to disqualify the winner.
9. Winners for the Social Media giveaway are allowed to transfer the prize to another person in the event that the winner is unable to collect the prize. However, the Bonus Prize is non-transferrable and is only redeemable to the winner himself/herself.
10. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur’s decision on the winners of the prizes shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence, complaint or appeal shall be entertained by the hotel at any time during or after the contest period.
11. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur reserves the right to replace or substitute the prizes with other items of equivalent value without any notice to the winners.
12. The prize set out above shall be used/taken entirely at the risk of the winners at all times and Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur excludes all warranties and liabilities in connection with the prize to the fullest extent permitted by law. The prize is non-exchangeable for cash or any other item.
13. The prize may only be collected personally by the winners and upon verification of the winner's name (as per their IC), mobile phone number and e-mail address.
14. The winners shall be responsible for any additional costs, duties, taxes and/or other incidental expenses which may be incurred as a result of and/or related to the winner's acceptance or use of the prize, including but not limited to, expenses or costs related to the winners’ transportation expenditure.
15. By accepting the prize, the winners expressly grant permission to Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur and its agencies to use the winners name, photograph and/or likeness for purposes of advertising, editorial, promotional, marketing, trade and/or other purposes without further compensation and notice.
16. Acceptance of the prize by the winners constitute a release and discharge of Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur and its related companies, by or from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and/or damages which the winners may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to-
(a) the contest;
(b) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner as a result of the use, employment and/or acceptance of the prize or participation/presence in the contest; or
(c) any tax liabilities in relation to the contest, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
17. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur reserves the right-
(a) to change, amend, revise, supplement, delete, vary or add to these Terms & Conditions without prior notice at any time and you shall be bound to such changes, amendments, revisions, supplements, deletions, variations or additions;
(b) at any time, change any aspect of the contest (including the prizes and discontinuing the contest) without prior notice; and
(c) at its sole discretion to cancel, suspend, modify or delay the contest or tabulation of votes in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control. By continued participation in this contest, you will be deemed to have accepted any changes, amendments, revisions, supplements, deletions, variations or additions.
18. In no event shall Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur, its related and affiliated corporations, sponsors, agencies and representatives be liable to you or to anyone else for any loss, injury or death or any direct, indirect, special, exemplary, consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever, whether in contract, negligence or in tort, arising out of or in connection to the contest, the prize and your participation in the contest including (without limitation) any cancellation or postponement of the rewards by Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur.
19. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur shall not be liable to the participants and/or to any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by a participant or such other party as a result of participation or non-participation in the contest or as a result of any act or omission on the part of Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur. The participants and any third party shall be solely responsible for any loss and/or damage or injury which he/she may incur and/or sustain whilst participating in the contest and/or utilisation of the prize or any associated activities thereto, howsoever arising or caused.
20. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant that is found or suspected of tampering with the contest submission process, the operation of this contest or to be in violation of the Terms and Conditions. Hilton Garden Inn Kuala Lumpur reserves the right to disqualify any participant and/or to forfeit any prize and/or reward from a participant it believes has undertaken fraudulent practice and/or activities or other activities harmful to this contest or the contest submission process. Fraudulent activities are deemed to include but not be limited to the following-
(a) any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating.
